Tony S.'s Starsky & Hutch Torino

Tony looked for a S&H Torino for a long time that he could fix up
because he could not buy one that was already restored.
He was "so in love with the show and the car" that he started looking
for one as soon as he came to the United States 25 years ago.
After buying every newspaper and magazine to try to find one for sale,
and not being able to find a Limited Production S&H Unit,
he bought a regular Gran Torino and painted it like S&H.

Then four years ago, Tony was asked by a stranger, who saw him
in his S&H replica in the street on a Saturday night,
if he was interested in buying another S&H Torino.
Tony went to see it the next day, and took the car home later that day!

Tony redid the engine and transmission, and repainted the car. It has:
400 CID engine, FMX transmission, new black carpet and headliner
(it originally had white interior), and new front suspension.

Since these pictures were taken, Tony added a '72 Torino hood scoop.
