Robert R.'s 1975
Ford Gran Torino Sport
Starsky & Hutch Torino

Robert says that when he bought it, this car was in beautiful condition
with just a little bubbling around the rear wheels. He took the car to
Split Auto in Freelton, Ontario, and they did a excellent job giving it
the Starsky look. Steve, the owner of Split Auto, is "very fussy
with his work" and wouldn't let the car leave until everything was just right.
Robert had the car painted Viper Red with a TV show-inspired stripe.
The car has 15 x 7 inch wheels and P215 tires on the front
and 15 x 8.5 wheels with P235 tires on the rear.

The interior is original and like new. The engine is a rebuilt 400 with a 2 bbl carb.
Robert remembers seeing the Torinos parked in a line at a dealership in
Burlington, Ontario in 1976 and wanting the "Starsky & Hutch" badly.
It took him 27 years, but he finally got a beauty.
These pictures were taken at the same dealership and in the same spot
where he saw his first "Starsky and Hutch" Ford Torino.
