Robert's father introduced him to the world of automobiles as a young boy. They both watched "Starsky & Hutch" in the original seasons and when a local dealer received only one S&H Torino, Robert's dad rushed him down to see it. This S&H Torino, which Robert recently found in a local junk yard, is that very same car!

Robert's father died of Alzheimer's just after Robert bought the car, so the rebuild has been slow and Robert's been very careful to get it back into brand-new shape. He has rebuilt all the mechanical aspects of the car (see below) and will shortly install the interior. It has the original 460 rebuilt and bored 10 over - it produces 450 HP so it is far from stock! When finished, it will sport the original white interior and maroon dash.

Mechanical work is all finished and every movable piece and all rubber has been replaced - it's totally new except for the original frame, which was sand blasted and painted.

Interesting to see the body being lifted off the frame like that, isn't it? Photo on the right shows what the car looked like when Robert first bought it.
