Pete and Rachel bought this car from Joe W. in Texas, who also created other cars featured on this site. Pete says, "It really is a piece of art. The attention to detail is impeccable. It was a rust-free Californian car to begin with, and I have 150+ photos of the restoration from start to finish. Joe built it exactly to my requirement. I wanted a replica of the second (through fourth) season(s) of the TV show, with Appliance wheels and Goodyear Bias-Ply tires. They look super cool with their balloon appearance, and give the car a great stance. They handle great on a good road surfaces, however are all over the road on a bad surface. We don't care though, they finish the car off!"
Pete and Rachel made an epic 4,500 mile journey across the USA in their Torino, then shipped it from L.A. to the UK. You might recognize at least one of the photogenic locations where they stopped! It's a beautiful car - another one lost to the United Kingdom in what seems to be a conspiracy to rob us of many of the best-looking S&H Torinos. Hey, you can have your tea tax back if you'll stop taking all our cool cars! :-)
