Ian found this car through a body shop dealer and, considering it was in great shape, he bought it in the spring of 2000 for a very low price. Work began right away on the brakes, bearings, and suspension. He installed new front seat belts as the originals were shot. Ian found the slotted mags at a flea market in Hamilton, Ontario for $40 for the set! He then added new tires, Goodyear 215-60R14.

The engine is a 351W with Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake and Carter 650 cfm carburetor that Ian installed in the last year or so. Dual exhaust was installed in the spring of 2001. The paint job was done (red first) at the end of June, 2001. It is Dupont Centari, mixed to 2B Bright Red. The stripe was done several days after the red, using some photos taken off video tapes of S&H from TV. Ian had many side shots, and masked off the "swoosh" as close as possible to the TV show.

Ian has changed the stereo to a Blaupunkt cassette unit, and has installed a working Motorola MCX-100 VHF radio, set up on the VHF 2 meter ham band (he is a ham operator). He has also installed aftermarket air conditioning and cruise control, and they both work very well!

Most of these photos were taken at S&H Torino Reunion at the 2006 Carlisle, PA All-Ford Nationals. Ian is a regular attendee - at least a four-year veteran. If you look carefully, you might see Ian in one of the photos. Wondering where he got the "Starsky" sweater? Read Below!
