Greg C.'s 1976 Ford Gran Torino®
"Starsky & Hutch"®Replica
| This is another one of the cars painted
by a Ford Dealer back in 1976 to look like the TV show car. The stripe is very similar to the one Ford painted
on the S&H Units at the factory, but not exactly the same. A little more pointed here, a little more curved there,
in some ways it's more like the TV show stripe than the factory cars would later have. |
| Greg bought this car in 2005 from a
man in Illinois who bought it in 1980 and garaged it about a year later. He didn't get it out again in 1991, and
then didn't drive it much, so it's still practically like new. |
| This is a beautiful example of a nice, clean, well-preserved
original white interior. The car is now powered by a 400 CID engine with a 750 double pumper and other performance
upgrades. This is one of two S&H Torinos on this site that are in New Zealand, and Greg says there might be
a third one there! |
