George G.'s Limited Production 1976 |

| George bought this well-preserved, factory original S&H Unit from Mark P. in Wisconsin. It has only had a few owners. It originally came with a 351 but now has a monster 460 in it. It had cloth bench seats and shift on the steering column just like the car in the first season of the TV show, but George swapped those out for bucket seats, center console, AND floor shifter. If you've thought of doing that with your car, now you know it CAN be done. | |||

| When he bought it, George had the car's few minor body flaws repaired and had it repainted. He replaced the original, angular factory stripe with a curved "swoop" more reminiscent of the TV show. The pointed end of the stripe stayed as it originally was. | |||

| Just before George bought his car, he and I drove to Milwaukee in mine to check it out. They were so similar, we sometimes got confused as to which was which - except when we drag raced, in which case the difference was clear. Unfortunately, George has the only copy of the videotape, and he won't give it up so we can see who really won! Now that George has a 460 in his, the next race could end differently :-) | |||

| The photos on this page were taken at S&H Torino Reunion at the 2006 Carlisle, PA All-Ford Nationals. George is a regular attendee - at least a three year veteran - and has been a "winner" in the S&H Torino class at least once. (All S&H Torinos are winners, but some get awards.) | |||
