| Frank & Shari's Limited Production Starsky &
Hutch Torino is, as far as we know, one of only 100 built for the Canadian market. Frank & Shari searched for
one of these cars for over four years, and even ran a "wanted" ad in the newspaper for over a year! They
finally found this car in January of 2002. |
|
|
| When Frank and Shari first contacted me, we weren't
sure if this was an original factory S&H unit or not because the Canadian cars do not have a 0022 DSO number.
But they found a build sheet under the seat that says "Starsky & Hutch Unit" right on it - so there's
no doubt about the car's authenticity. We have since found several more Canadian S&H units with a DSO number
that ends with 8000 instead of 0022. |

|
| Frank & Shari's Torino was featured in the movie
"National Lampoon's Thanksgiving Vacation" in 2003. In the movie, you can see it parked in a quarry with
a bunch of other cars. |
|
|
| Frank & Shari's car is registered with a company
that supplies cars to the Canadian film industry. Paul Michael Glaser was filming a movie in Canada in 2004 and
on his last day of shooting, the crew of the film wanted a photo with "Starsky" and his Torino so they
rented the car for the shoot. Mr. Glaser signed a script from "Starsky and Hutch" (the original series)
that Shari had, and a few other things, and best of all: he signed Frank & Shari's Torino on the driver's side
door post. |
