Marc D.'s "Starsky & Hutch"®Replica |

| Marc (his friends call him "Dino") calls these cars his "Huggy Bear Hugger Orange S&H Tribute Replica Vehicles." Because the interior of the cars was brown when he bought them, he decided to paint the exteriors Hugger Orange instead of Red. Read all about them, below. | |||

| Marc says he has been a big fan of the S&H cars for years. Inspired by this Web site and Detective Brent's, he set out recently to find a traditional Gran Torino. At the same time, he got tired of driving around in his rusty old '87 Toyota Pick-up that he used for business. 2006, he decided, was going to be the year to make his S&H vision come alive. | |||

| Marc found a 1974 Gran Torino Brougham in Texas with only 77,000 original miles on it, a one owner car. Then he found a '75 Ranchero from Georgia. The interiors of both cars were very sporty, but the color was brown. He don't care for the S&H exterior red with a brown interior, so what was he going to do? He decided to go with one of the most muscular exterior colors of the '70s era - Hugger Orange. | |||

| From the nondescript brown cars you see
above, the "Huggy Bear Hugger Orange S&H Tribute Replica Vehicles" were born. Marc gives special
"Thanks" to Al & Andy at Maaco of Columbus Ohio, Dotson's Garage in Magnetic Springs, Ohio, and Detective
Brent (for the stripe kit). It's kind of hard to tell in the photos here that the cars are orange and not red, so I hope Marc will bring them to one of our reunions and park them with a bunch of plain old, boring red and white ones so we can see the difference! |
